Dovestones...

I was looking at the weather forecast today to see where there might be some sunshine. It's been pretty dark and grey here all week... I was amazed to see that over the hill at Dovestones the forecast was for a lovely sunny day....so I went and it was true!
There are 3 reservoirs at Dovestones and one high up at Chew...This is the view from number 2 reservoir...I always like walking round here and the feeders at Binns Lane were pretty busy with all the usual garden birds. I saw a few dippers but as there was a shooting party (really unpleasant to hear their shouts when they hit a target) making a lot of noise it wasn't surprising that I didn't see many birds....

Large view is better...
