Whistling swan family

A number of them winter in the wetlands a few minutes drive from us. Whistling swans nest in the shallow lakes of the US and Canadian Arctic. They have over a 2 meter wingspan and weigh about 8 kg on the average. Aside from the rare trumpeter swan, they are the largest bird in Oregon.
