Looking north

Not gone out much today. It's still quite mild and the light has been pretty at times, but it's not that warm and the nice light hasn't been constant. I've erred on the side of staying in the warm and dry.

Today's picture is a stitched image from the spare bedroom. My compact camera has a stitch assistant, which allows you to align your images pretty well, so that they stitch together quite easily outside the camera. I used the free and open-source Hugin tool which has done a pretty good job. There are four images in this stitch with about 33% overlap between each image.

Th green field behind the church tower is called the Great North Field. The current owner is keen to sell it to a developer to build houses on. At the moment it's the only field that cuts into the village, all the rest butt up to the edge. Many people are very attached to the field. We live in one of the few houses from where you have a good view of the field. Next week we'll go and see what the developer has to say for themselves - which could be interesting as we are expecting protests at the venue.
