'Above and Beyond'

... this year's motto of the christmas market at Münchner Freiheit, 'Munich's finest artists market' - as they say on their website.
Since the early 1970s it was a very artsy market - lots of arts and crafts stalls and a variety of different food (eritrean specialties, potato pancakes, greek style gyro, steaks from Argentina, sausages from Sicily, pasta from Tuscany........... ) - some 20 years ago that was pretty special - as the 'normal' christmas market only had 'Bratwurst' in a bun, maybe gingerbread and that's it....
