LAY OFF or there will be trouble....

At a place called Donna Nook on the Lincolnshire coast, thousands of Atlantic Grey Seals give birth to their pups in November. There were over 1,700 pups there this morning and it is one of the UK's great wildlife spectacles.
The close proximity of pups and adults does lead to tension sometimes and in this picture Mum and Dad on the left are making sure the inquisitive female on the right knows exactly whose pup this is.
A remarkable place and a special thanks to Bevie (amongst others) who has been gently encouraging me to get out with my camera - thanks Bevie.
