Sunset Southerndown Beach

It was a lovely day in South Wales and we went out to do some sightseeing. We started with a couple of castles and then went to Merthyr Mawr nationalnature reserve, before ending up at the beach for the sunset. Southerndown is a wonderful mix of sand, rock cut platform, boulders and rock pools with banded sedimentary cliffs at the back. The sunset was really good but there needed to be more cloud to make it really spectacular. The blip was taken about 20 minutes after the sun went down, and I like the way the sky is reflected in the wet sand of the beach with added bonus of a wee boulder and pool.
