About to Bloom

Our second banana tree is about to bloom. We missed the blooming stage of the last one, we got back after 4 weeks away, and blamo...instant banana bunches! Now for this one I am here to see the flower come out, and am taking daily photos. Honestly, I don't know why more people don't grow bananas. Plant them in the ground, wait a year, and there you have them, more than you can eat, with absolutely no work. Yes, I do know that the climate has to be tropical. Wonder if they would grow indoors? Maybe a smaller variety would work.
