What A Waste

We spent about four hours trundling up and down the M 40 today to see LooseCanon's mother in her care home. It was a dull old day and the most interesting thing we saw on the motorway was the Viridor incinerating plant which takes in non recyclable rubbish and turns it into energy for local homes, plus water vapour and CO2. 
There was a big local campaign against it, which was lost. The company and the county say it saves stuff going into landfill and is efficient. The locals say it adds to traffic problems and will cause pollution. 
Who's to say?
I took this at seventy miles per hour on the motorway. I wasn't driving.
