Carrion Crow

It's thawing again, and again all the fish that died during the long winter are floating to the surface.

I was squatting next to a lake at 6.30 am this morning, to see if I could take some pictures of birds feasting on the spoil, when I noticed a Carrion Crow (Corvus corone) sitting right next to me, picking at a small fish. I guess he had watched me for a while and decided I was quite harmless... Or perhaps he was just ravenously hungry.
