The Cloister. Compton Cemetery.

Two kind friends took me to an art Exhibition to see the work of the Russian lady, Elena Polenova, at the Watts Gallery, Compton, today. The gallery also houses a permanent exhibition of George Watts' work. His wife Mary designed the local chapel with the help of local residents which was built between 1896-98. It is a real gem and comprises of art nouveau and Celtic influences as well as Mary's individual style. This cloister is on the top of the hill in the cemetery overlooking the gravestones and chapel.
