Worth a thousand words

watch the birdy

Set the camera on a tripod (found an old stage weight that's been kicking around for years to use as a tripod stabiliser) 3 feet from the bird feeder...used a 100 meter remote cable release...focused on the feeder and then changed to manual focus...selected 1600 shutter speed and f5.6 at 6 frames per second...ran away and hid...fired off a few shots every time a bird landed. Half way through the shoot I had to grab the camera to shoot 2 buzzards flying close overhead...got some good photos but difficult to get tack sharp at that distance.
