Yellow Rose

Really busy day in work today and it was mainly cloudy after some morning sunshine.

So today’s photo is straight from the garden at 7.20pm after tea, one of our recently planted standard roses that never stop providing flower after flower, and scented too!

I began thinking this was a boring shot I was about to take - but as I look at the close up in iPhoto I see the beauty, the delicate and gentle folds, the deep hues of yellow. What a composition, what of great art a rose flower is!
