Chilly Dawn.

Early this morning and we were over in the Helix Park and boy was it chilly! The car dashboard said 1 degree Celsius so not technically freezing but there was frost on the wooden walkways and the grass was white. So MaggieD and I were walking pretty carefully to avoid any unwanted slip-ups and visits to Casualty, but the pathways were really fine.
The only fly in the photographic ointment is those damn pylons which really spoil the effect. Apparently, at least we have been told, it would have taken a million a time to bury those cables. Money well spent in my opinion! I suppose Photoshop could be another option but that feels a bit like cheating!
This afternoon saw us looking after Eve while Phil & Ali attended the school Christmas concert. Due to shortage of tickets, we couldn't go and missed Euan's stage debut. Ali tells us he did very well indeed.
While out for a walk with Eve we heard a distant siren of the old air raid warning type. Funny, we thought, never heard that before but the question was soon resolved. There was a deep muffled boom from the direction of a local quarry. Maybe they picked up an old warning siren cheap from the MoD.
