Straightening the curve

We had a thoroughly grey day today, the sky was full of snow and with temperatures not seeming to rise much above zero we were lucky that the clouds seemed only able to release tiny amounts of the white stuff, enough to excite all the children but not enough to impress the dog or warrant snow shovelling.
