An ancient crib

Recently my brother brought over a box of our parents things for me to sort through, archive, scan etc. Among the things was this crib set. We've had it since 1963. We'd been on holiday and befriended a disabled man from Peterborough. To our surprise this crib arrived the following Christmas. It is beautifully made and has kept well over the years. There's a little baby Jesus in a crib, Mary, Joseph with his staff, three wise men and a donkey with pink bits and a sheep. Now it's my turn to be the custodian and we will enjoy getting it out each year.

His nibs his home after a very tiring trip to Romania. It's good to have him back.
