David

An animated David Stratton, presenting the movie "The Day the World Caught Fire" at the Katoomba Neighbourhood Centre's Film Club night, held at The Paragon Café.

The British movie was made in 1961, and depicts the workings of a newspaper, as journalists report on "climate change" and other related catastrophies associated with the use of thermo-nuclear devices. Quite topical today really, depending on your point of view.

For those blippers from overseas who don't know about David Stratton and his colleague, Margaret Pomeranz's Australian TV show "At the Movies", here's a link, as they prepare for the screening of their last show, after more than 28 years of reviewing movies together.
