Bright lights, big city

Moved on to Shanghai today. Arrived mid afternoon after a delayed flight.

At night it reminds me of Bladerunner!

Had an interesting time getting cash, then a meal at a street cafe which turned out to be excellent, before heading to the Bund to see the lights.

The population of Shanghai is reputedly 24 million, but may be as high as 30 million. The population of Scotland is in the region of 5 million. Shanghai is a lot smaller in size than Scotland.

There's a significant pollution issue here, but it's a lot better than in Beijing, according to V, my lungs feel pretty wheezy all the same!
