Honest men

Honest men don't in the least mind being hanged by mistake... and they have the pleasure of knowing that the world they leave is positively minded to cleanse itself of the human vermin which they have been classed by mistake

I suspect in that I would rather be the human vermin that did not get hanged than the honest man that did in this case.

Ah Ruskin, you do amaze with ideas of genius and wonder. Some do of course scare the bejesus out of me. Makes good reading though.
