Buddha: Miracles and Magic Powers

Most people know that the Buddha had some magical powers. These are sometimes called "supernatural powers"; or "miracles."

A sutra in which the Buddha in more detail than is usually talked about the supernatural powers, the Mahāsakuludāyi Sutta. There he speaks with an ascetic named Udāyi, and after the Buddha Udāyi taught about the principles of the spiritual life, he ended his speech with a statement on the six supernatural powers:

1: The Magical Powers
2: The Heavenly Ear
3: Observing the Mind of Others
4: The memory of Past Lives
5: The Heavenly Eye
6: The Destruction of the corruptions
