Spearfishing

Since we'd finished out course and Sam had time to kill, we went out spearfishing with him before he headed back to Sanur. As it was my first time, he agreed to show me the ropes so that I could catch the bait-fish, but unfortunately the (relatively small) Hawaiian sling spear he thought he had was nowhere to be found. I wasn't strong enough to rig the available spears myself, so passed the baton to Jack who proceeded to show us all how it was done. First shot in over four years and he managed to spear the perfect surgeonfish at 14m. Safe to say someone was pretty smug!

Time wasn't on our side in the end, so we didn't get the wahoo Sam had hoped for.. Better luck next time.
