The National

A last minute booking to see Treasure Island at the National Theatre rounded the week off nicely, especially as I managed to persuade Paul to join me. Only £15 a ticket, and we were so near the stage that we were almost in the production! Mind you, they were pretty much the last tickets so we didn't have much choice but not seats I'd choose again if I could help it - bit too low down and to the side. As expected though, it was an excellent show with very interesting set designs, a bit of sword fighting, blood and guts, sea shanties, and an animatronic parrot. And they gave Long John Silver a false leg so he didn't have to hop around all evening - how thoughtful!
