Today. OMG today. Herself's birthday party. Booked to go ice-skating. Storm last night. Phone call this morning. Storm meant power cut for the ice rink. Power cut meant it was more of a paddling pool than an ice rink. Three hours till party.

At home not an option; not with the weather precluding the throwing of sugar-rushing kids outside.;) AMF bowling and laser skirmish to the rescue. They rustled up a full birthday package and even a party host for us despite the short notice. They totes rock.

... I'm going with this shot, because it's fun, but also because it shows one of the uses of f/1.4. I was shooting away throughout the day, and it's really pretty dark inside there. The Sigma did well:
