True bug...

...of some sort. A shield bug I should think, but I haven't been able to find anything even vaguely similar in colouring during my ten minute search and it's bed time now.
Possibly juvenile, as I couldn't see any evidence of wings. Found under my pear tree, while I was netting it.

Very pretty colours and only about the size of a ladybird.
