Independence Day - Itsenäisyyspäivä

Today we are celebrating Finland´s 97th Independence Day. Every municipality has their own celebrations and in the evening all the citizens are watching television the ceremonics of our president and his guests. In this image you can see 18 years old Mika Heikkala speaking in the Independence Day celebrations in Posio. I was there with our choir Siulaset. We sang three beautiful Lappish songs. - It was not easy to blip today while waiting for our turn to perform.
