The wreath

The near total loss of daylight by 4pm in December encourages an understanding of the Pagan need to celebrate the lengthening of the days that occurs well before winter is over - or, as is the case this year, even started.

So, this holly is being cut to produce a wreath for the front door that will provide a daily reminder that the growing seasons are still in full swing, even if the vegetable patch is almost bare...
