Life Sentence

Sandhill Cranes mate for life. And that can mean 20 years or more. Only if one of the birds dies will the remaining Sandhill begin it's search for another mate.

I photographed a juvenile White Ibis in a different area than I found the Sandhills. White Ibis are common in these parts. One can almost always depend on seeing at least one Ibis when looking for birds. I like White Ibis a lot, especially the JuVees! Here are THREE SHOTS of the young Ibis.
