Old Sun Dial, circa 1545

I looked all over for something with colour to photograph and all I found was a blue sky.
In spite of brave wild flowers, used as blips already, the countryside is still bleak.

This is a sundial that Cromwell knocked over and the cat dragged in. It was once at a royal palace and was scavenged by an ancestor in the wake of Cromwell's troops.

The other choices were a red collar on a black dog or sunlight on a red rug. The blue skin won.
