Dry season Mekong

The dry season is here- despite some random showers- the water level of the Mekong has dropped significantly. Just a month ago this whole sand flat was under the silty, fast flowing current of thousands of gallons of rainwater that fell all across Cambodia, Laos and further North. Walking across the sand from the boat feels more like being on a beach back home than a drying river bed in SE Asia.
