Maths homework

Susie sent us some of her maths homework to look at yesterday. The first part was OK but it's so long since I've seen a cubic equation that I scratched my head over the second bit. But Lawrence woke up in the middle of the night puzzling over it and came up with the solution this morning. (I was rather impressed!)
