A Peaceful End..

..to a busy weekend.

I finally got the house to myself late this afternoon and managed to take the dogs out just before dusk. I allowed Fionne a short burst off the lead and she seemed to be overdoing it, so I had to be cruel to be kind and put her back on. She wasn't best pleased but luckily I did, as a huge deer appeared in the corner of the field. Brodie was too busy chewing twigs to even notice!

I often photograph these willows down by the river but this evening, I liked the setting sun and just as I pressed the shutter, two birds flew into the shot.
