Bringing Home the Christmas Wreath

12/07/2014 ~ Bringing Home the Christmas Wreath, Living Room, Wallingford Neighborhood

Busy day with errands and some fun social events. Afternoon event with Frances McCue leading a lecture/presentation of a book titled "Mary Randlett Portraits." Mary was also scheduled to participate but was home with the flu. Mary has been taking photographs for 80 years since her father gave her a brownie box camera as a 10 year old. She started photographing the artists, writers and arts advocates throughout the Pacific Northwest. If you have an opportunity to take a look at the book, I believe you will find it worthwhile. Mary only works with black and white film and still develops her own film in a darkroom in her basement. She also has a book titled "Mary Randlett Landscapes" which is full of beautiful Pacific Northwest landscapes.

This evening spent some time at the Richard Hugo house for an annual event hosted by Cooper Canyon Press with a group of writers and editors reading their favorite poems.

Oh, and there was Christmas wreath which has made it home but did not get hung on the door yet.

A full and fun day!

Life is Grand!
