The Santa Special

F's daughter decided that she was deprived by never being taken on a Santa Special as a child. This was remedied yesterday when she and her husband, F and I went on the Cambrian Heritage Railway Santa Special. We had a drink and mince pie in the dining carriage before going into the train for the trip. She was hopping up and down with excitement as we rode along. A magician entertained us on the way then we arrived at the station where Father Christmas had his grotto in a beautifully decorated railway carriage.

After an elf telling is Christmas jokes it was our turn to see Father Christmas. She didn't get a present or an invitation to sit on his knee but did enjoy the experience!

A pub lunch joined by a friend completed the day's activities.
