Imagining John Lennon, In a Time Of Anguish

Today, John Lennon's, ''Come Together,'' comes to mind. We are all aware he was senselessly murdered on a New York sidewalk 12/08/1980. 34-years later, what would he be saying in the midst of the national Eric Garner debate over whether the police too often use deadly force against minorities?

''Come Together. Respect one another. Be kind."

You say you'll change the constitution
Well you know
We all want to change your head
You tell me it's the institution
Well you know
You better free your mind instead
But if you go carrying pictures of Chairman Mao
You ain't going to make it with anyone anyhow
Don't you know know it's gonna be alright
Alright Alright
