The other bridge

A busy morning of constituency work then a drive over to Fife to speak to pupils at Buckhaven High school, which was being visited by some members of the Devolution Committee today.

After finishing up at the school I was heading to Edinburgh and decided to drop into North Queensferry to try and get a shot of the new Forth bridge which is getting built at the moment. However I don't know the area and with all the construction work finding a place to park was impossible so I stopped under the railway bridge and took some shots of the road bridge.

Usually you see pictures of the railway bridge and the road bridge is overlooked so tonight was a chance to give the road bridge a blip to itself. Luckily however you can also see a little of the support columns for new Forth bridge in the background.

When there was a debate about what to call the new bridge I was all in favour of calling it the 'Third Forth Bridge', but it has ended up being called the Queensferry crossing.
