Das Gleis

This memorial at the Dokumentationszentrum in Nürnberg acknowledges the role the German Railway System played in the death of some 6 million people in concentration camps under the Third Reich. Each grey card in the rail-bed has the name and other vital details of a person who was killed. There are 60,000 individual cards, each representing 100 people who lost their lives.
