End of term 'itis'

The end of term needs to come. Carys had a proper wobble over homework in general and the seven times table in particular tonight. She is tired and has had enough and I know how she feels.

At swimming her teacher told her the she is such a good little swimmer that she won't be with her long. That was nice to hear. She is also mega excited because after telling her teacher she needed character shoes (who hasn't she told?), said teacher brought her in a pair of beautiful red satin ones that belong to M for Carys to borrow until she gets her own! How lovely is that?

The boy is also ready for the holidays. I am dreading what next week and three late nights of the show will do to him. He doesn't cope well with tiredness and has still to master the art of sleeping in.
