Gold Nuggets

One of my gold nugget tomato plants has produced ripe fruit already. The first ripened before the end of November, but I couldn’t bear to pick it. Four of them equal a medium-sized tomato. This is the earliest I remember. The plant was raised in my livingroom with the others, taken out to the greenhouse for the daytime, and brought back in at night.

I’m very weary after a day in Christchurch. Among other things I renewed my driver’s licence so that I’ll be able to drive after my 75th birthday (whew!), and saw a specialist about my sore foot. He diagnosed tarsal tunnel syndrome, which is similar to carpal tunnel syndrome but in the ankle. He has recommended me for treatment, but it may be two or three months before that happens.
