New Life

Farmerboy was fixing a water trough this afternoon, when he heard a Spurred Winged Plover squawking. And the reason why it was squawking? Because Farmerboy was near its nest, and a baby Plover was in the process of hatching. He was there 45 minutes, and in that time, not a lot of progress had been made by the new bird with its hatching.

Interestingly enough, the cows were in this paddock last night, and would have been around the water trough, yet they didn't stand on these eggs. I find that amazing.
