Mono Monday - Home...at last!

Today is Mr MC's birthday ( age to remain undisclosed) and also Violet's 6 month birthday. To celebrate we have had lunch out and a trip to Van Hage's to go ice skating. I didn't actually skate myself far too frightened of falling over as of course someone had to look after Violet!!
We skated late due to a serious accident on the A10 causing major hold ups and arrived home to find...engineers working on a gas leak right outside our house! After several weeks of searching they have located it and repairs are underway to the 100 year old pipes(!!) that were the cause.
So... a late and hasty blip and even later posting! Thank you once again to Skeena for hosting this week's Mono Monday! I will try to catch up with all your lovely entries today!

Sadly, I've just learned that the motorist involved the accident with the lorry yesterday has died: feeling very grateful that we got safely home with only minor things to grumble about.
