Mince Pie

I had to prise the lid off
to add some clotted cream,
so my mince pie looked half-eaten
but it tasted like a dream.
No points for presentation
and the pie's gone all too soon,
but not a crumb was wasted
and so seasonal it tasted
from a holly-handled spoon.

You might spot glitter on the table, too, where we've been writing crimbo cards. In fact there's glitter everywhere! Ho hum!
