The Life Of Ponty Cyclops

Marshuns!

Bonkers weekend part two!

We were up early and on our way back from Butterwick at half ten this morning. IN keeping with the SatNav's recent form, it took us back the old way via Nottingham, which is currently being dug up!

We did manage to get back in plenty of time, and stopped in Andrews to pick our tickets up for the Fish concert on Tuesday.

Lu Sangs held us up when we had the longest wait since we moved to Mill Street for a takeaway ... and the Motorpoint seem to struggle with the number of people arriving when we got there. But we were in our seats in plenty of time, and we were up on the balcony, so we had a cracking view of proceedings.

I remember being given the War Of The Worlds album by Julie Hope back at the start of the eighties. It blew me away. It really hasn't aged over the past few decades.

This was the last time it was touring in this format, and we had a cast of previous X Factor winners and Brian McFadden and Jason Donovan. Liam Nielsen played the Richard Burton part as the narrator. That was the only problem of the balcony seats, we couldn't really see the hologram of him. Other than that, it was a brilliant night. We took mum and dad and they seemed to thoroughly enjoy it. There were even a couple of new arrangements of the songs with new lyrics.

By the time we got home the whole three days of madness had caught up with me .. fortunately I didn't have a "haunted restless sleep ..."
