Nearly four years on

This house is just down the hill from our place, and once upon a time it was a beautiful house that we considered buying as a rental. It had a massive chimney, lovely wooden floors and great views of estuary and mountains. However, it suffered badly in the Feb 2011 earthquake, and nothing has been done to it since. There are still a lot of houses like this in the eastern suburbs of Christchurch, even though the pace of the rebuild has accelerated recently. It is such a massive job.
