Reflections in Maidstone Town Centre

Today's meeting up in London was interesting, polite but ultimately we weren't happy with what the company we're working with to create the software had done. Considerable uncertainty as to their brief and scope; as a result we didn't get what we were expecting. The project started with a Prince2 document, created by the company, detailing all the project requirements. There was never any revision of this document for agreement and sign off. I think we could have asked to see the document but I also think that as project owners it was in their interest to make sure they knew what was expected and that any changes to these requirements were documented. Changes in personnel don't help. But, hey ho, we convene again next week to finalise the clarification and agree and document all the details.

Back in Maidstone we had a lovely night out with Wendy and Chris at a Weatherstone's pub in town, from the outside of which this shot was taken. We had a particularly good outcome as the meal was 2 steaks and a bottle of wine for £16.99. But the pub mixed up the order and two meals came and then nothing. After attracting the server's attention we established there had indeed been a mix-up and by way of an apology would we like a dessert on the house? We would, we did and the dessert and the steaks were excellent.

I had a couple of shots vying for today's blip, the second from Bearsted railway station was a cameo of early morning sunlight fitering through mist and smoke, framed by trees.
