Listed buildings in West Street, Corfe Castle

This is in effect a "close up" of some of the houses appearing in my photo taken exactly a year ago! This coincidence is entirely coincidental, but perhaps West Street is at its most photogenic at this time of year.

From left to right, but ignoring the part building at extreme left, you have:

10 West Street, a tiny 17th century cottage with a western extension which was originally a bakery. Original Purbeck Stone roof.

The Fox Inn, 18th century, with later extensions to the west (there was nowhere else to go). Its street front and roof have been renovated in more recent years. Ancient well in lounge bar, garden with castle views! There was an ale house on this site from the 16th century.

The remaining houses have a distinctly modern - i.e. post 18th century - look.
