Unusual here. Burning off a few minutes after I snapped this at about 08:30 (GMT -7).

I chose not to move the truck . . .

Still pondering the significance of a photograph selling for $6.5m (£4m). Any one see the The guardian article by Jonathan Jones? "Photography is not an art. It is a technology. " Emphasis mine. He does not flatly say, "Photography is not art." But the picture in question is blatantly post-processed, hence the title Phantom.

The slit canyons of Arizona are a popular photography subject . . . beware of rattlers if you're silly enough to visit in summer . . . but they usually run slither away long before you know they are there.

And the real news is Malala Yousafzai's Nobel Peace Prize acceptance speech . . .
