The Starkness of Winter

The first half of my walk was in a torrential downpour today. By the time I finished we had partly blue sky and mild temperatures, all in the course of an hour! Now, we are having wind gusts knocking out power and blowing limbs everywhere..what a day!
Just an ordinary bird today but it is really indicative of the starkness of winter.
Grateful today for....a long breakfast with a good friend, getting caught up on our growing families.
