Lilium Gigantium

Or Himalayan Lily. This morning on our walk around the park all of a sudden there was this heavenly perfume. We couldn't make it out as only appeared to be green trees everywhere. We then remembered we had seen a time back these lilies coming through, sure enough when we went hunting they were under a tree that had branches almost to the ground and long grass all around. They are new to the park apparently planted by an elderly couple some time back.
Many of them were a good 8 feet high and they had from 5 to 9 flowers on each head. Very difficult to photograph as were right under the trees where it was very dull. Next week will attempt to photograph the whole plant
