Shopping by Gas Lamps

The Master and Mistress were enjoying their evening stroll in the light of the newly installed gaslights. An added pleasure were the colourful shops and decorations beginning to make their presence, no doubt due to the influence of Prince Albert and his German traditions. They were really looking forward to their own Christmas celebrations in a week or so's time.
