Bauble

Definitely still feeling the jetlag, and will be going to bed very early again. It was a very windy and wet day today in Belgium, the day the former Belgian Queen Fabiola was laid to rest. The funeral mass was a very interesting mix of commemorating and celebrating, Queen Fabiola was very religious , had lost her beloved husband King Badouin 21 years ago and had been looking forward to her death as the moment where she'd be with God and with her husband again and this was reflected in the funeral service, which at times sounded like a wedding.

This afternoon I met with B, a friend of a friend and a passionate painter. She paints wonderful abstracts filled with colour and texture. She's going to exhibit with me in February, I'm actually starting to believe in this exhibition !

My Blip image is a study of what is possible with these wonderful transparent new Christmas baubles with shiny red or silver balls on a metal string inside. I do need to start Christmas decorating soon.

Thanks very much for your comments on yesterday's Christmas cactus flowers :-)
