On the mend

This wee fellow flew into our garden room window this morning and spent the first few minutes spreadeagled on the ground. But, having been stunned by the impact, the bird slowly recovered and then sat, as you see here, for quite a while before flying off into the silver birch at the back of the garden. We stood lookout to ensure none of the local cats espied the vulnerable bird and were so pleased when the poor fellow was able to resume normal life.
